This article gives an overview of our optional Dial In feature. This feature is off by default, and must be enabled for your organization by Hatch.
With this feature enabled, attendees will now have the option to call into their session with their phone and join using audio only. This is designed as a workaround for attendees that might be experiencing technical issues, or for attendees that do not have video capabilities.
How it Works
If this feature is enabled for your organization, the dial-in information, including the phone number, appointment number and pin number, will be included in the Advanced Settingsand Attendees
tabs in the session.
If an attendee needs Dial In instructions, but is unable to access the Lobby Page of the video session, providers and admin user types can send them through the session Invite Tab . Dial In instructions will automatically be included in the Invite Message with this feature enabled.
Please Note - Dial In instructions are not included in our automated email and SMS appointment reminders.
Dial In Steps:
- Manually dial the phone number listed in the Dial In instructions, or if viewing the instructions on a mobile device, click the link to automatically initiate the call
- Wait until prompted and then enter the Appointment Number followed by the pound key
- Wait until prompted and then enter the Pin Number followed by the pound key
- You will be notified that you have successfully joined the session
