This article gives an overview of our optional Auto Admit feature. This feature is off by default, and must be enabled for your organization by Hatch.
With this feature enabled, patients will receive a message as soon as they land in the Pre-session Lobby explaining how they will be automatically connected when the provider, admin or staff clicks the Start Session button.
How it Works
When a patient enters the lobby before their healthcare staff arrives, they'll be told that they are waiting on their host to join and that the appointment will begin as soon as the host starts the session.
When a provider, admin or staff checks into the appointment and lands in the Pre-Session Lobby, they will see a message at the center of the window notifying them if any attendees are waiting. The provider or admin can then pull the patient into the visit by clicking the Start Session button. If the provider or admin is the first to arrive, they will see a message that says "You are the only attendee."
Once their provider or healthcare staff joins the appointment, the patient will be automatically pulled into the session after 15 seconds. If they do not need a moment to collect themselves before joining, they can click the Join Session Now button to connect immediately.
