Firewall Considerations
- Hatch uses secure web sockets which require long-lived HTTPS connections on port 443. Are there devices on your network that prevent secure WebSocket connections?
- Do you have proxy rules that prevent persistent UDP traffic? This could cause a poor audio/video experience with increased latency.
- Are you able to monitor firewall and proxy logs? This can be helpful for ensuring settings are optimal for audio/video on your network.
- Is there anything in place that could cause network delays for more than a few seconds for outbound connection attempts? This could cause issues with real-time audio/video communication.
